What do you think is a good price for good digital camera?

Question by nagelangel523: What do you think is a good price for good digital camera?
I want a digital camera, but I've seen some as little as $ 100, and some $ 300. What are some big differences, and are there any you recommend? Thanks a lot!

It depends on how familiar you are with digital cameras. If yhou are doing alot of close work and need the zoom feature. You will pay a bit more. If you are just looking for a camera for everyday photography, with a few extra's, it's not unreasonable to pay between 2-3 hundred for a decent camera. Canon and Nikon make some awesome cameras. Also, Sony has come out with a couple of decent ones recently.

  2. A good price today would be $ 200 to $ 270-For a regular compact you'd want a camera with no more than a 1 second delay, one that gives you an excellent 8X10 print, one that has an image stabilizer, decent optical zoom, say 4X optical or higher and one that takes AA batteries and also one that doesn't eat up batteries quickly. Lastly one with at least 4 megapixels. No need to go higher than 6 MP unless you do a lot of cropping or enlarge photos more than 11X14.
My camera is in all the categories above; the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H2.

  4. Cheap camera have bad battery life, bad performance in low light, and weak flashes. If you pay a few hundred dollars, you can get a camera that can actually take good shots. I'd recommend the Fujifilm Finepix F30 and its cousins for their good performance in low light, good battery life, and bright flashes.
