Is a digital camera flash dangerous to newborn rabbits eyes?

Question by Brittany <3: Is a digital camera flash dangerous to newborn rabbits eyes?
I was just wondering if taking pictures with my digital camera of my baby bunnies with flash could cause blindness to the babies? They are 11 days old and now have their eyes open.
Only serious answers please!

  1. It might, rabbits eyes let in allot of light coz they have to function nocturnally.

Could you bring in a few lamps to set up around them and then turn off the flash maybe?

GIVE 'EM LOTS AND LOTS OF HUGS FROM ME OKAY!!!

  3. Yes it will stun them. The flash will actually hurt any bunnies. The flash may cause them to go into extreme stress and may blind them because they have just opened their eyes and they are just getting used to light. If you want to take a picture you should turn the flash off. You could brighten up the area or if they are outside you could wait until it is mid-day when it is the brightest. You could also just put them in the shade. (As long as it isn't too dark) Digital cameras don't need as much light as a disposable one.
