  10. Worked for me after repeating steps 5b through 7! Panasonic ZS3 with (former!) System Error (focus). Interestingly the lens moved all the way in and apparently most of the way out, then buzzed/beeped. It looked like it was out all the way, but apparently it was not. THANKS.

  14. Hi, My friend has the Ixus 105 and while we were looking at some of her photo's last night the camera randomly said "lens error, will shut down automatically" Any suggestions on a low cost or even free method of fixing the issue? Cheers.

  15. my camera doesn't have particles or anything like that but the problem id kind of the same. what happened was when i got my camera it was turned on but wasn't working properly. the lens was blurry the lens part wasn't retracting and i then pushed the lens in but the cover for the lens wouldn't even close right and then the lens started buzzing and mmoving side to side as if it were going to retract again. i'm going to bring it to camera tech do you think its fixable?

  22. I fixed it!!! I used a combination of the paper, vacum and hair drayer in the beginning, but I think the banging on the table and pulling the lens a little is what really did it. Thank you so much for posting this (and your blog), there is nothing else that google could find to fix my problem! :)
