I got a digital camera for christmas and my blackberry doesn't have a camera built in. I usually see girls at school with digital cameras not guys. Help?

Well, it depends. What do you like to do? Look cool, have an accessory or take pictures? Many guys have digital cameras. If you don't like it, sell it. Can't see any problem with it myself.

This is one of the joys about NOT being a teenager anymore - thankfully I couldn't care less how I look carrying around my great big DSLR. LOL
ReplyDeleteIs it "cool" ? Probably not. But then again, I'm too old to do things to look cool.But as a long time photographer, I usually have a camera with me unless it's raining. Unless you're interested in photography, I wouldn't carry it around.
ReplyDeleteGirls just seem more likely to take hundreds of pointless photos. Snapfish says they're demographic is mostly female. A strange thing I've noticed lately is most hobby photographers are either psychologist or engineers. Just to clear up your theory getting pictures of your friends is cool for teenage girls. Arguing over silly mechanics and occasionally getting great art pictures is cool for grown men.
ReplyDeleteIf your a guy asking if it's OK for you to take your camera around. go for it. While the other guys are slamin' bruskies you'll be on your way to making millions and getting famous as a great photographer.
The girls usually have purses, so they can have the camera in there with their other stuff. Guys can make more use of belt pouches. I'm not sure about the coolness of having multiple belt pouches.

ReplyDeleteHigh school? Figures. I carry my wife's pink Sony Cybershot around. Now I don't care if I look cool or not. All that matters is that I get the pictures I want. The camera is a tool, not a bling.
ReplyDeleteWho cares? I carry my camera with me almost all the time in case I want to take a picture, not because I want to look cool. If you want to look cool, try a nice haircut.
