Customer Reviews:
This is a great camera it may be similar to the Lumix and other cheaper cameras, however it is more stylish, beautifully designed, simple to use and has many added features such as a GPS system which automatically locates and documents where the photo was taken and a touchscreen for easier usage. ... I've answered comments like this over and over. Yes, it's basically the same camera as the Panasonic. There's a full comparison on the PhotographyREVIEW site. Check it out.
Glad you liked this video! The cameras Steve Jobs was referring to were the high-end Leica rangefinders. If you're interested in those, you should visit PhotographyREVIEW and look up my "Dream Date With The Leica M9" article. That camera is the real deal! :-)
PhotoJohn you give very good explanation of this Leica. I've always been into photography but as of lately not so much. My main reason looking into Leica is because Steve Jobs compared one of the iPhone 4 qualities was compatible to an older Leica camera. So I have started looking into Leica. Nice job!
Ha ha - I wouldn't say that. If you read my complete reviews for the ZS10 and V-Lux 30 you'll see it's a great little camera. I just think it's pretty difficult to justify paying the extra money for the Leica version - unless you've got money to burn and you really like that red dot.
I guess you didn't watch the whole video ;-P Go to about 4:40 and I address your question. You can also visit PhotographyREVIEW and there's are pro reviews for both the V-Lux 30 and the Panasonic ZS10.
Leica sent me the camera for review and I did not pay for it. The camera belongs to them and has been retuanred. The leather case was not in the camera box so I have to assume it's a separate accessory.
Excellent camera and good presentation as well. TY
